Advisory Board
Michael Howell is a private equity investor, with an exceptional leadership track-record. He is a serial entrepreneur and operator having founded, developed, and successfully IPO’d and exited multiple companies. He has served as chief executive officer on the boards of various public and private companies, universities, and charitable foundations. He started his career in public accounting at Deloitte. A world class triathlete and Iron Man, he is based in Phoenix, Arizona.
Carnegie Mellon University Professor of Computer Science, Satya is a renowned experimental computer scientist, a founding pioneer in edge computing, mobile computing, pervasive computing, and the IoT. He is an Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) fellow. The ‘father of edge computing’, his multi-decade research career has focused on the challenges of performance, scalability, availability, and trust in information systems that reach from the cloud to the mobile edge of the Internet.
Leading AI, machine learning and predictive analytics scholar, Irad is full professor and head of the AI and Business Analytics Lab at Tel Aviv University, and visiting professor at Stanford University. He is the author of 4 books and more than 100 scientific papers, has been awarded multiple patents, and earned numerous awards for his work. He is the co-founder and chairman of CB4 (“See Before”), a predictive analytics startup backed by Sequoia Capital.
An accomplished strategy and business development leader, Pieter previously served as a senior executive at Vodafone, and at Microsoft, where he was as one of the company’s top 25 executives. As president of Microsoft Asia, he led the company’s efforts in opening and expanding in Asian markets. He served as visiting professor of innovation at Cambridge University, and has chaired or sat on numerous public and private boards and has presided over multiple exits.
Leadership
Specialized in AI, Robert is a former Sand Hill Road (Silicon Valley) venture capitalist, investment banker, public-company CEO, Microsoft manager, and founder of several successfully exited companies. His two books, The Fifth Wave, on data-driven innovation and investment, and Collective Knowledge, on knowledge management, describe the ALPHA10X thesis.
Sergio Marques is an accomplished investment banker with a track-record of leading complex transactions and building and scaling a large emerging growth business in the financial services sector. Prior to taking a sabbatical, during which time he advised an investment banking boutique and a decentralized finance startup, he served most recently as Global Head of Sales and Fundraising, at Investec Investment Banking & Securities, based in London. At Investec, he is credited with building an institutional sales, syndications, and fundraising business unit to over $7 billion in annual asset sales and $6 billion in funds and partnerships, from a zero base. Prior to Investec, he worked in structured credit sales at Hoare Capital Markets, Bank of America, and Deutsche Bank. He holds a masters in international finance from the #1 ranked European business school, ESCP.
Ahmet Gyger is a product and technology leader with a track-record of building and scaling high-growth, high-velocity AI startups or business units in Silicon Valley. He previously held senior leadership roles at Microsoft, Apple, and Salesforce, co-founded Senseo.ai, and led product for late-stage start-up, Domino Data Lab. He holds a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Geneva and completed continuing education in AI and innovation at Harvard University and the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.
Pascal is an accomplished private markets investment banker and investor with a career track record that extends across some of the leading institutions in the financial services industry. His career includes Goldman Sachs M&A investment banking, Canaccord Genuity private equity, leveraged buyouts at CVC Capital partners, and private debt investing at O2 Capital. He holds a masters in international finance from the #1 ranked European business school, ESCP.
